Editing Your Profile Sections
To begin customizing your profile, log in to your account and click on Your Profile in the main navigation bar. From here, you can manage all the information that casting directors see.
If you have multiple profiles (e.g., a personal profile and a represented profile), you can switch between them using the profile switcher at the top of the page to edit each one individually.
The "About" Section
The "About" section at the top of your profile is your chance to make a first impression. You have 200 characters to write a brief, personal introduction to showcase your personality to casting directors.
Profile Media
You can add, edit, and arrange the photos, videos, and audio clips that appear on your profile. For more detailed instructions on managing your media, please see our media management guide.
Skills, Assets, Appearance, and Sizes
This is where you can provide detailed information about your unique talents and physical attributes.
- Skills: Add or edit your skills, specify your proficiency level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), and even attach a media clip to demonstrate a particular skill.
- Appearance: Update your playable age range, gender identity, ethnic appearance, hair and eye color, and other physical attributes.
- Sizes: Provide accurate clothing and shoe sizes. The measurement units (imperial or metric) are based on the country associated with your account.
- Assets: List items you own and can bring to a set, such as a specific car, wardrobe piece, or prop.
- Other Experience: Use this section to showcase other relevant experience, such as production work, that doesn't fit into a standard credit category.
Managing Credits and Resume
Keeping your work history current is crucial. You have two ways to display your experience:
- Manually Added Credits: This is the best way for casting directors to see your work history quickly. You can add credits for different categories (e.g., Film, Television, Commercials).
- PDF Resume: You can also upload a traditional resume in PDF format. A link to open the PDF will be available on your profile, displayed below your manually entered credits.
Adding and Arranging Credits
- On the Your Profile page, go to the Credits section and click Edit.
- Add new credits by filling in the details for each project.
- Rearrange individual credits within a section or move entire sections (e.g., move "Film" above "Television") using the arrow buttons.
- Click Save when you're finished.
Highlighted Credits
You can spotlight up to three of your most important or favorite credits at the very top of your profile. To select a highlighted credit, simply click the star icon next to any entry on your credits list.
Updating Personal Details and Preferences
Ensure your personal information and role preferences are accurate to receive the most relevant casting calls.
- Union Status: Keep your union affiliation up to date.
- Working Locations: Set your primary working location and add up to two additional locations where you are available to work.
- Role Preferences: Indicate your interest in specific types of work, such as extras work.
- Pregnancy: If you are pregnant, you can indicate this and your due date in the Role Preferences section.
- Gender Identity: You can identify as Trans or Non-Binary in your profile settings. This information is not public but makes you searchable for relevant roles. You can also specify the gender roles you are interested in portraying (men, women, non-binary) and opt-in to see roles for Trans Men or Trans Women.
- Willingness: Allows you to indicate what you would consider doing on a project. If you are unwilling to do anything, you can uncheck the option.
- Sizing: For more information on sizing visit this article.
Is my date of birth/age visible on my profile?
For adults, your specific age and date of birth are not visible to casting directors. Your playable age range is used for search purposes but is not displayed on your public profile. For minors (under 18), age is visible.
I want to do extras work, how do I indicate this on my profile?
Go to the Role Preferences section on your profile, click Edit next to "Extras Work," and select "Yes." You can also update your Notification Settings to receive email alerts for background roles.
I'm pregnant and would like to indicate that on my profile. How do I do that?
In the Role Preferences section, click Edit next to "Pregnancy Due Date" to enter your information and save the changes.
Where can I change my working location?
At the top of the Your Profile page, click Edit next to "Primary Working Location." You can also add two additional working locations here.
Is it possible to preview the way my profile looks to Casting Directors and Representatives?
At the top right of Your Profile, click Preview. This will show you a preview of how your profile will appear to casting directors and talent representatives.
