TALENT: What is Casting Networks Thrive and how do I use it?

This article explains the Casting Networks Thrive program, a suite of well-being and financial savings benefits available to Premium members. It outlines what benefits are included, who is eligible, and how to opt-in and access these services.


INTRODUCTION TO THRIVE

Casting Networks is excited to launch Thrive. This program introduces well-being benefits to our Premium members aged 18 and older in the United States. By introducing an innovative suite of benefits, this new program can save members between $1,100 and $2,600 annually when compared to members paying all expenses directly.

These benefits encompass a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Telemedicine, Behavioral Health

  • Pharmacy Discounts

  • LetsGetChecked

Through this holistic approach, the Casting Networks Thrive program aims to empower actors by addressing the critical aspects of their professional and personal lives. These offerings provide caregiver/provider access and discounts that are uniquely suited to the needs of working actors, but they are not insurance.

OFFERED BENEFITS

  • Telemedicine with Behavioral Health: Unlimited access to telemedicine and behavioral health services. Members could see an average annual savings of around $564 from medical and mental healthcare alone. Members can benefit from convenient access to physician care and licensed therapists online or by phone, integrated with members' Electronic Health Records for a seamless healthcare experience.

  • Network Pharmacy Discounts: On average, consumers save 66% on the cost of their medications, with potential savings of up to 80%. That’s an annual savings between $130 and $1,000, based on the average annual spend for medications of approximately $1,300.

  • Discounts with LetsGetChecked: LetsGetChecked is a comprehensive platform offering home health testing, medication delivery, and virtual consultations. It provides a user-friendly way to conduct over 30 different health tests, ensuring privacy and convenience.

ELIGIBILITY

Casting Networks Premium members who are over the age of 18 and live in the United States, regardless of existing conditions, profession, or employment. Premium members who are eligible for the Thrive benefits must:

  • Live in the United States

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be subscribed to a Premium Membership

Please note that Thrive is available in Puerto Rico with the exception that LetsGetChecked is not available.

IS THRIVE INSURANCE?

No. The Casting Networks Thrive program is designed to provide a range of benefits to support the personal well-being and financial savings of its members. However, it is not insurance. It does not offer the traditional coverage or guarantees typically associated with insurance products.

  • If I already have health insurance can I use these benefits? Casting Networks Thrive benefits are mainly useful for areas in which you are not covered by health insurance. Casting Networks Thrive benefits cannot be combined with insurance, nor can they be used to receive discounts on copays or other insurance-related payments.

  • Should I cancel my insurance in favor of these benefits? Casting Networks Thrive benefits program is not insurance and we strongly advise against canceling your insurance in favor of these benefits.

SIGNING UP FOR THRIVE

If you are a Premium Member, please follow the instructions below to opt-in to use Thrive.

  1. Log in to your Casting Networks account: Start by signing into your existing account on the Casting Networks platform.

  2. Navigate to the membership and billing section: Click on your account name in the top right corner and select ‘Account Settings’ - ‘Membership and Billing’.

  3. Select the Program: Look for the 'Casting Networks Thrive' option and read through the details to understand the benefits and any associated costs.

  4. Opt-In: Follow the prompts to opt into the program.

Please Note: All artists attempting to enroll in the Thrive program will be provided with an external link to the terms of use including eligibility requirements for the program. Users will be required to confirm their intent to opt in prior to proceeding with the opt-in process.

After you opt in, Casting Networks notifies our vendor that a new member needs to be added to Thrive and begin receiving their benefits. This process may take up to 48 hours for the new member to gain full access to all the benefits included in the plan and receive a welcome email. This email contains important information, including your member ID and group number, on how you can access and use your Thrive benefits.

Completing Your Profile

Once you have received your welcome email, there are a few additional pieces of information that need to be filled out in each individual benefit category.

  • Telemedicine Benefits with Behavioral Health: Fill out your medical profile by logging into your member portal. Dependents and their medical profiles can be added through the member portal. Any dependent over the age of 18 will be required to manage their own profile. After completing your medical profile, consults may be requested by logging into your member portal or by calling (800) 611-5601.

  • Pharmacy Discounts: Call (844) 863-0353 24 hours a day to speak with a customer service representative. Print your card directly from the website, or text or email the card to yourself or family members.

  • LetsGetChecked: No additional information required.

ACCESSING PORTAL

Once you have become a member of Thrive Benefits, the Thrive portal can be accessed through the Membership and Billing section of your account.

  1. Select Access My Thrive Benefits.

  2. Select your desired option of Telemedicine, America's Pharmacy, or Let's Get Checked.

  3. When you have made your selection, click Learn More or Get Started to access the portal or pharmacy pages.

Premium members who have opted into Casting Networks Thrive can also visit performersthrive.com to view information about accessing their benefits.

Telemedicine Benefits with Behavioral Health

Access to physicians for your immediate family, even when traveling away from home. You can treat common ailments such as cold and flu, sinus infections, allergies, bronchitis, etc. Telemedicine calls and video chats are free of charge. If a doctor prescribes medication for you, there will be a fee for the medicine at your pharmacy.

Am I able to speak to a Psychologist or Psychiatrist? Yes, however, there is an additional cost for those services. Psychologist visits are $100/visit. Psychiatrist visits are $205 for the initial visit and $100 for follow-ups.

Pharmacy Discounts

Savings up to 80% on most prescription drugs. Prices will always vary on prescription drugs and therefore it is impossible to estimate specific dollar savings through any non-insured drug program. On average, consumers save 66% off the retail cost on most prescriptions. To use pharmacy discounts, you will present a membership card at the pharmacy. The RX Card is available online and can be shown on your phone, or by printing it out.

Choose from 30+ home health tests with free shipping and accurate lab results in 2-5 days. Members save 25% on most LetsGetChecked tests. Covid tests are available through LetsGetChecked but do not have a discount.

  • How do Premium plan subscribers sign up for Thrive?

    • Benefits are included at no additional cost.

    • However, it's important to note that while the program provides discounts, the service providers themselves may charge a fee for their services after applying the program's discount. Therefore, while there's no extra charge to access the discounts themselves, the actual services rendered by providers will incur a cost, albeit at a reduced rate thanks to the program's benefits.

  • Will I lose access to Thrive if I cancel my membership?

    • Yes. Thrive will only remain for as long as opted-in Premium members remain paying members of Casting Networks. 

  • I don’t plan to use these services. Can I pay less for my Premium membership?

    • No, these services are available to all Premium members over 18 in the US and are included in the cost of membership whether or not you take advantage of them.

  • I have a Free Membership Membership, how can I sign up for these services?

    • The Casting Networks Thrive program is available to Premium members. You may upgrade your membership to Premium at any time and can then opt-in to the CN benefits program. 

  • Are these benefits available for annual and monthly memberships?

    • The benefits with the program will be available for both monthly and annual membership plans

  • Can I opt out after opting in for these benefits?

    • Yes, you can always opt out of access to Casting Networks Thrive by navigating to your membership and billing page and opting out of the program. However, it’s important to remember that there is no additional cost to Casting Networks Thrive. If you do opt-out, you will lose access to Casting Networks Thrive benefits immediately.

  • Will my current membership level automatically include access to Casting Networks Thrive or do I need to upgrade?

    • Premium members of Casting Networks will need to explicitly opt-in to join Casting Networks Thrive.

  • Can family members of the talent also access these health and wellness benefits?

    • Yes, spouses and children of Casting Networks Thrive members are also able to access these benefits.

  • Are benefits descriptions available in Spanish?

    • The Thrive website will only be available in English. However, members who prefer Spanish can access information about benefits by calling (888) 854-2552.  Many of the actual benefits (for instance, telemedicine) will be accessible to Spanish speakers, depending on the state in which they live.

  • Are the benefits different based on the state that you live in?

    • No, benefits will not depend on the state you live in. You can access the same benefits from any of the states, although the availability of providers will vary from location to location.

  • I am a resident of the US. Can I access the program while traveling internationally?

    • Members can access the benefits website from anywhere in the world. However, most benefits will not be available internationally. 

  • If I encounter issues with accessing or using the benefits, who can I contact for support?

    • For support with Casting Networks Thrive benefits, you can call (888) 854-2552.

  • How does the program ensure the quality and reliability of the health services provided? 

    • Providers are constantly monitored and reviewed based on member feedback and 3rd party reviews.

  • I have two children that use Casting Networks, do both of my children need Thive to take full advantage of the benefits? 

    • No. Thrive accounts are based on the account level on Casting Networks. If talent are on the same account, but have two separate profiles, they will both have full access to the Thrive Benefits. 

  • Do I (A Talent) need to re-opt into benefits if I’ve updated my membership? 

    • Users who DO NOT have to re-opt in: Users who

      • Automatically go from Annual to Month-to-Month

      • Manually go from Month-to-Month to Annual.

    • Users who DO have to re-opt in: Users who

      • If a user has a gap in their membership, e.g. a few weeks or days off from Premium.

  • Am I able to speak to a Psychologist or Psychiatrist?

    • Yes, however, there is an additional cost for those services

      • Psychologist: $100/ visit - Consult with a licensed Psychologist for a one-on-one session to assess your symptoms, evaluate your medical, psychiatric, and family history, and help decide on a course of action moving forward.

      • Psychiatrist: $205 / Initial visit ($100/ follow up)- Connect with a U.S. based board-certified Psychiatrist who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for a range of mental health disorders, as necessary.
