TALENT: How Do I Manage My Notifications?
This article explains how Talent on Casting Networks can manage their email and text message notifications. Here you will find instructions on how to update the types of roles you receive alerts for, opt-in to text messages, and troubleshoot notification issues.
What Do I Need to Receive Email Notifications?
To receive email notifications for projects, you must have the following:
An active personal profile. A personal profile is one that does not have representation associated with it.
In order to submit to the roles you are notified about on Casting Billboard, you will need a Premium Membership.
How to Update Email Notifications
There are two primary ways to adjust the types of project notifications you receive: using Saved Searches in Casting Billboard or through your Account Settings.
Using Saved Searches in Casting Billboard
The saved searches feature allows you to create specific, customized email alerts for roles that match your filters.
Log in to your account.
Select Casting Billboard from the top navigation bar.
Set all filters (union status, pay, role type, etc.) to reflect the kind of roles you wish to receive emails about.
Click Filter to apply the filters. You must apply filters before you can save them.
Once applied, click + Save This Search.
A new menu will appear. Name your search and select how often you would like to receive email notifications for roles matching this criteria.
Click Save when you are finished.
Using Account Settings
You can also adjust your notifications for broader categories within your account settings.
Click on your name in the top right corner of your account.
Click Account Settings and choose Notification Settings. You may need to select which talent profile you are updating.
In the Project Type Alerts section, click Edit.
Select or deselect the checkboxes for role types, pay preferences, or project types to fit your needs.
Scroll down and click Save Changes.
How to Opt-In to Text Message Notifications
Talent based in the United States can opt-in to receive text message notifications.
You can receive text messages for every Casting Networks audition, callback, question, and media request.
Please note: If you are adding text notifications to more than one talent profile, you may need to wait 5 minutes before adding a number to another profile.
How to Unsubscribe from Email Notifications
Click on your name in the top right corner of your account.
Click Account Settings and choose Notification Settings.
Uncheck the Email Me box for any notification type you do not wish to receive.
Click Save Changes to save your updates.
Adding Casting Networks as a Safe Sender
Gmail
Mark messages as Not Spam:
In the left-side column of your Gmail inbox, click on Spam.
In the spam folder, search for an email from notifications@castingnetworks.com.
Select all emails from notifications@castingnetworks.com.
Select Not Spam at the top of your mailbox.
Create a filter in your Gmail inbox:
Select the cog icon in the top-right corner of your inbox.
Select See all Settings.
Select Filters and Blocked Addresses.
Select Create a new filter.
Enter castingnetworks.com into the From field.
Select Create filter.
Select Never send it to spam.
Select Create filter.
Outlook
Add Casting Networks to your safe senders list:
Go to your Outlook inbox and select the cog icon in the top-right corner.
At the bottom of the Settings menu, select View all Outlook settings.
Select Junk email.
Under Safe sender and domains, select Add.
In the field that appears, enter castingnetworks.com and hit Return/Enter.
Select the Save button.
Yahoo Mail
Add Casting Networks to your contacts list:
Go to your Yahoo Mail inbox and select the cog icon near the top-right corner.
In the menu that appears, select More Settings.
In the left-side column, select Filters.
Under Your filters, select Add new filters.
Enter a Filter name (can be anything you choose).
Under From, select ends with as the filter criterion.
Enter castingnetworks.com as the filter value.
Under Choose a folder to move to, select Inbox as the folder.
Select the Save button.

I think I should be getting notifications but I'm not. How can I troubleshoot?
If you have an active personal profile and are not receiving notifications, please try the following steps:
First, confirm your email notifications are turned ON in your profile's Notification Settings.
Check the Spam or Junk folder in your email inbox.
Add notifications@castingnetworks.com as a contact in your email client to ensure messages are delivered directly to your inbox.
