TALENT: What is the difference between a personal and a represented profile?
This article explains the distinction between a personal profile and a represented profile. It is intended for talent who have representation and want to understand why they should also maintain a personal profile for self-submission opportunities.
What is a Personal Profile?
A personal profile is your individual profile that is not associated with any talent representation. It allows you to manage your own career opportunities and submit to projects on your own.
It is separate from a profile on a talent representative's roster.
You can make changes to your personal profile at any time.
You are always able to maintain a personal profile on your account, regardless of the status of your represented profile.
A personal profile is required to receive notifications and email alerts for projects posted on the Casting Billboard.
In order to submit to roles on Casting Billboard, you will need a Premium membership and a personal profile.
There is no extra cost to maintain a personal profile.
What is a Represented Profile?
A represented profile is connected to your agent or manager's account. This is the profile your representative uses to submit you for roles.
This profile can be maintained and edited by both you and your representative.
The details on your represented profile are visible to your agent or manager.
Your representative cannot see any details on your personal profile.
When you respond to a Media, Callback, or Audition request sent by your representative, the represented profile will be used for the submission by default.
How to Create a Personal Profile
If you do not already have a personal profile, you will be prompted to create one when you log into your account. Follow these steps:
Click Get Started on the "Time to create your free personal profile" pop-up.

Click Create Profile, then click Confirm.
Please note: when creating your new profile, you can choose to copy the information from any of your existing profiles to save time.
How to Disable a Profile
You can remove or disable a profile that has past representation directly from your account settings. Follow these steps:
Click on your name in the top right corner of the page.
From the dropdown menu, hover over Account Settings and then select Profile Settings.
Once you are on the Profile Settings page, find the profile you wish to remove.
Click the menu icon (three vertical dots) located to the right of the profile's name.
Select Deactivate this Profile from the menu.
Please note: If the profile is currently on a talent representative's roster, the option will be labeled Drop this Profile instead.
