Choosing Publication Settings on a Role
There are several options when releasing (publishing) a role. You are able to release roles to a Representatives (Agents and Managers), directly to the Casting Billboard® or both.

How to Choose Publication Settings on a Role
Steps for choosing publication settings on a role:
1. Once the role information is fill out, the last step to releasing a role is to choose your Publication Settings. In other words, who is going to be able to see your project/role information and have the ability to submit talent or submit themselves (if you choose to make the role public on Casting Billboard®).
2. You are able to import publication settings from an already release role by choosing Import Publication Settings from and selecting a role from the dropdown
- Please note: if at any point you want to remove all publication settings information, press Clear
3. Choose to release role to:
- Talent on the Casting Billboard
- Representatives
- or both Talent on the Casting Billboard and Representatives
Releasing roles to the Casting Billboard®
Releasing roles to the Casting Billboard®
Casting Billboard® is our platform for talent where they can view and submit to roles that are released publicly by casting. Which location(s) you choose to release a role to effects which talent see that role.
For example, if you only choose "Los Angeles" to release a role, only talent located in Los Angeles will see that role on their Casting Billboard.
Steps to release a role on Casting Billboard:
1. Choose Talent on the Casting Billboard
2. Select the dropdown under Requesting Submissions From* or select the Choose Locations button
If choosing from the dropdown, find the city (or cities) you want to release to and select the box to the left of them.
If you selected the Choose Locations button, choose the city (or cities) or region you want to release to and select Add Location (bottom right)
3. Once your location(s) has been chosen, select Save and Go to Project Overview
Please note: if you need to add another role to the project, select Save and Add Another Role
4. Once on the project page, select the Publish button (top right) and select "Publish New Roles"
Releasing roles to Representatives
Releasing roles to Representatives
You are able to release roles to representatives by:
- Creating a New Search to release the role to specific representatives
- Releasing to a Representative List
- Releasing to both a representative list and a new search
Releasing to Representatives via a New Search
You are able to create a new search to release a role to representatives with specific parameters. This will generate a list of Representatives that will be invited to submit on this role. No Representatives will be added to this list without your action.
Steps on how to release roles via a new search:
1. Select New Search
2. Choose Representation Type
- Agents and Managers
- Agents Only
3. Select the location where you'd like to request submissions from. Representatives will see that you are "Requesting Submissions from" any location(s) you choose.
You can use the dropdown and find the city (or cities) you want to release to and select the box to the left of them.
Alternatively, you can select the Choose Locations button, choose the city (or cities) or region you want to release to and select Add Location (bottom right)
4. Choose who the Representatives work with under the that Represent dropdown
- Adult & Youth
- Adult
- Youth
5. Choose a Representation Category (you can choose multiple categories)
6. Select Save and Go to Project Overview
Please note: if you need to add another role to the project, select Save and Add Another Role
7. Once on the project page, select the Publish button (top right) and select "Publish New Roles"
Releasing to a Representative List
You are able to release a role to a representative list on your account. For more information about creating and organizing representative lists, please see this article.
Steps on how release roles to a representative list (or lists):
1. Select Reps List
2. Select a Rep List by clicking on the Select Rep List dropdown
3. Select the location where you'd like to request submissions from. Representatives will see that you are "Requesting Submissions from" any location(s) you choose.
You can use the Requesting Submissions from dropdown and find the city (or cities) you want to release to and select the box to the left of them.
Alternatively, you can select the Choose Locations button, choose the city (or cities) or region you want to release to and select Add Location (bottom right)
6. Select Save and Go to Project Overview
Please note: if you need to add another role to the project, select Save and Add Another Role
7. Once on the project page, select the Publish button (top right) and select "Publish New Roles"
Releasing to both a representative list and a new search
To release to both a representative list and via a new search select the Both option.
Choosing a location or locations for releasing roles
Whether you are releasing your role to the Casting Billboard or to Representatives, you will need to choose a location.
Representatives will see that you are "Requesting Submissions from" any location(s) you choose and only talent located in your chosen locations will see your role (if you choose to release a role to the Casting Billboard). Which location(s) you choose to release a role to effects which talent see that role.
For example, if you only choose "Los Angeles" to release a role, only talent located in Los Angeles will see that role on their Casting Billboard.
