What are the new membership options for talent?
Talent can choose from three different memberships: Free, Essential, and Premium. Each of these memberships are based on storage space, so as a talent needs more storage, they can switch to a higher membership while also benefiting from swappable media. The free option allows for up to 350 MB, Essential allows up to 1 GB, and Premium allows up to 3.5 GB (currently unrestricted).
If an actor removes their self-tape from their account, will I still be able to see it?
Talent can remove media from their account after 21 days of initial upload and may do this to free up more storage space. When an actor removes this media from their account, Casting will still be able to access this media via their sessions, worksheets, and presentation links.
If talent is out of storage space and is not able to respond to the media request I sent them, how will they submit their self-tape to me?
Talent have a couple of options to choose from to be able to submit their media to you. Talent have the ability to archive eligible media on their profile to free up more storage and have the ability to upload their new audition. If they do not have any archivable media they can switch to a higher storage-based membership to increase their account storage space. If talent are represented by an agent or manager through Casting Networks, the talent can send their media to their representative and the representative can upload the media to the request on behalf of the talent.
I hear that talent need to pay for storage space to upload media, as a casting director do I also need to pay for storage to add media to my account?
No, this storage-based membership only applies to talent accounts on Casting Networks.
If I manually upload media to a talent’s profile on a session, will this affect the talent’s storage space?
No, media uploaded directly to a session or through Fast Capture does not affect a talent's account storage.
Why can some talent see that they are “selected” or marked as “under consideration” on my project?
Talent who are on a Premium membership have access to the Role Tracker. The Role Tracker allows talent to track the life of their submissions made on the Casting Billboard. It allows talent to review the Project and Role Information, Submission Status, Submission Date, and Last Updated Date. Talent will be able to see if Casting has marked them as selected or under consideration on projects which they submitted themselves to. The selected status is defined as ‘Casting has selected your profile and you may be contacted for an audition, callback, media or question request’. The 'Under consideration' status is defined as 'Your profile is included in an audition, callback, media or question request, or client presentation. Talent cannot see which selection tag they have been marked with, or if they are marked as 'on avail' or 'booked’. Talent cannot see the name of the Casting Company, only the name of the project and role they submitted for.
Can talent see how much storage they have available/used?
All talent can see how much storage each media item takes up and how much total storage space they have available. When talent have filled their storage space, they can either remove archivable media or switch their membership to gain more storage space.
Will talent representatives be able to upload on behalf of their talent?
Yes! Talent representatives still have the ability to upload media to submissions and media requests on behalf of their talent.
