PROJECT CREATORS: How Do I Create a New Project?

Edited

This article explains the necessary details required to build a project, such as role descriptions and physical requirements, and provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up a new project in the system.

How do I create a new project?

Follow these steps to create a new project:

  1. Once logged into your account and viewing your Projects List page, select the New Project button.

A rectangular blue button with rounded corners that says New Project in white text.

  2. Fill out all required information on the Project Details page

  3. After you have entered your Project Details, the option Save Project and Add Role will appear at the bottom of the page. Clicking this automatically takes you to the role creation page.

A rectangular blue button with rounded corners containing the white text, "**Save Project and Add Role**."

Please note that if this button cannot be selected, there is information within a required field that is missing.

What important information should I include when creating a project?

  • Synopsis: When creating a project, you should provide a summary or general idea of the project in the Synopsis or Project Details field. This helps us, and the talent, understand what the project is about.

  • Role Descriptions: Be sure to include a complete role description for every role. Giving details such as physical traits, the “feel” of the character, and how the character ties into the project helps talent understand if the role is right for them. In turn, this will bring better, more suitable submissions.

  • Physical Requirements for Models: If you are seeking models, you must include all physical requirements if applicable (Height, Body Type, Look, Sizes) and include the types of settings they need to be comfortable with (Runway, Photo Shoots, Commercial Dialog).

Please note: If you are not going to be able to Taft-Hartley non-union talent that are appropriate for a Union role, please state this in the role description: "seeking Union talent only." Although that cannot prevent non-union talent from submitting, it clarifies that their submissions will not be considered.

What personal information will be shown to talent?

When talent initially receive the project notice for an approved project, they will see the project name, project type, the rate, shooting dates, and basic information about the role. Your name and contact information will not be included
